Devon's Beaches

Updated: Apr 23

This south-western beauty is the only county in the UK to have two distinct coastlines. It has well over 100 beaches, meaning there are plenty of seaside spots for newcomers and repeat visitors to experience.

Whether you’re into water-sports, fancy a foodie seaside lunch or just want to stretch out and listen to the sounds of the waves, you can be pretty confident that Devon’s diverse shores have something that pushes all the right buttons.

Just a few minutes’ drive from Bowhayes Farm is…

Budleigh Salterton

Budleigh Salterton is a small seaside town with two miles of pebbly beach and spectacular views over red Devon cliffs.

A beautiful beach with wide ranging views, spectacular stones, grey, purple, white and black pebbles. But don’t be tempted to take them home as there’s a hefty fine!

Wander amongst the beach huts and red cliffs on the Jurassic Coast, find the prehistoric fossilised roots in amongst the red banks. After checking out the crystal-clear waters and pebbly beaches take a stroll around this east Devon town and visit the cosy tea rooms and artisan cafes.
